Indigenous Plant Teachings & Pendant Making

September 16, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm UTC+0

Welcome! We are so glad you can join us!

This Event will be held on the Ecological Preserve at Vassar College

Sat. September 16th 2-4 pm

(Please arrive early as we want to limit distractions)

We are honored to be guided by ethnoecologist Justin Wexler of Wild Hudson Valley, who has studied Hudson Valley’s indigenous culture, languages, and history for over twenty years. Justin will share the traditional uses of some native plants.

Evergreen Minds’ founder, Michelle Olson will then guide you in an earthen clay pendant-making project incorporating these native flora!

We will celebrate our time together by sharing a cup of tea infused with native plants.

This program is free for people who are living with dementia and their care partners. Aligning with our mission to bring diverse people together through community to help eradicate stigmas, we welcome all to join.

We invite you to please share this event with your networks so that we can help reach more people who may benefit from these meaningful programs.

We welcome your tax-deductible donation in any amount that feels right for you. We strive to make our community programs free and accessible and 100% of  your gift is used to make this happen.
